Spanning from May 11 to 17, the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre is the stage for this week-long continental competition. At the inauguration, Gujarat's Minister of State for Sports, Jayram Gamit, emphasized the state's growing reputation in international sports, underscoring the importance of such events in boosting local and Indian athletes.
Gamit outlined the state's ambitious plans, including high-performance centers and grassroots talent identification. In addition, upcoming international events like the Commonwealth Games and World Police and Fire Games were highlighted, showcasing Gujarat's increasing capacity as a global sporting destination.
