Sahdev Yadav, the President of the Indian Weightlifting Federation, achieved a significant milestone by being unanimously elected as the head of the South Asian Weightlifting Federation (SAWF) during regional elections.
With a strong presence in various weightlifting organizations, Yadav holds positions as the treasurer of the Indian Olympic Association, Vice President of the Commonwealth Weightlifting Federation, and Assistant to the President of the Asian Weightlifting Federation.
Yadav emphasized his commitment to fostering stronger ties among South Asian nations and prioritizing the growth of weightlifting through enhanced athlete development, comprehensive coaching standards, and improved infrastructure, along with increased international participation. Concurrently, Sabina Yadav was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of SAWF, reinforcing leadership within the federation.
