All-round GT demolish CSK by 89 runs
Gujarat Titans secured an 89-run win over Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, thanks to fluent half-centuries from Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill.
Opener Sai Sudharsan and skipper Shubman Gill struck fluent half-centuries to power Gujarat Titans to a commanding 89-run win over Chennai Super Kings in an Indian Premier League match here on Thursday.
The duo shared 125 runs for the opening wicket to set take GT to 229 for four after being invited to bat.
And then Mohammed Siraj (3/26), Rashid Khan (3/18), Kagiso Rabada (32) shared the spoils with the ball to bundle out CSK for 140 in 13.4 overs.
While Sudharsan made 84 off 53 balls, Gill scored 64 off 37 balls.
Jos Buttler also hit a quickfire unbeaten 57 off 27 balls that was laced with five boundaries and four sixes.
