Surpassing Chris Gayle's sixes record, Sooryavanshi's effort kept Rajasthan's title hopes alive, despite Hyderabad's fightback and subpar crowd turnout.

In an electrifying IPL eliminator, teenage cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi delivered a masterclass performance, steering Rajasthan Royals to a resounding 47-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad. His blistering 97 off 29 balls, featuring five fours and 12 sixes, invigorated Rajasthan’s innings at the New PCA Stadium.

Sooryavanshi, only 15, surpassed Chris Gayle's record for most sixes in a season, hitting 65, and narrowly missed breaking the record for the fastest century. Despite falling short of a hundred, Sooryavanshi was instrumental as Rajasthan posted a formidable total.

Though Sunrisers Hyderabad battled fiercely, the squad was eventually bowled out for 196, hindered by Rajasthan's incisive bowling attack led by Jofra Archer. Rajasthan now advances to face Gujarat Titans in the next qualifier.
