The game started with an early advantage for Jamaica, courtesy of Courtney Clarke's stunning strike in the eighth minute. Kaheim Dixon sealed the victory in the 78th minute, ensuring Jamaica's place in the final. With this loss, India is set to compete against Zimbabwe for third place, following Zimbabwe's defeat by Nigeria in the other semifinal.

Highlighting personal milestones, Noufal PN and Ricky Shabong made their debut appearances for Jamaica, while Edmund Lalrindika was given his debut start for India. Despite moments of promise from the Indian side, they could not avert defeat in their first match in the UK since 2002.
