Mandaviya Evaluates Meghalaya's Readiness for National Games
Sports Minister Mandaviya is on a three-day visit to Meghalaya to assess preparations for the National Games and inaugurate an indoor sports complex. The visit includes meetings on sports infrastructure and centrally-sponsored schemes, alongside various events involving key officials.

During his visit to Meghalaya, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will oversee preparations for the 39th National Games, set for March next year. A pivotal review meeting is scheduled, where the Host State Contract will be signed with Meghalaya, alongside key representatives from the Indian Olympic Association.
In Shillong, Mandaviya and Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will inaugurate a new Integrated Multipurpose Indoor Sports Complex. Developed at a cost of Rs 132.9 crore, this modern facility is prepared to host a variety of indoor sports and is a vital National Games venue.
Additional programs focused on youth affairs and sports infrastructure development will see Minister Mandaviya engage with Meghalaya's sports officials. He is also scheduled to inspect the Umsawli Sports Complex to evaluate ongoing enhancements to the state's sports infrastructure.
Whilst in Meghalaya, Mandaviya will also review the status of centrally-sponsored initiatives under the Poorvottar Sampark Setu project in the Ri-Bhoi district, ensuring developmental progress within the state.
