India's wrestlers showcased their prowess at the Ulaanbaatar Open Ranking Series in Mongolia, where they clinched a total of six medals. Manisha and Neha emerged as the golden stars, each winning gold in the Women's Wrestling division. Their victories, alongside triumphs in the Greco-Roman category, solidified India's strong position on the medal tally.
In stellar performances, Sunil claimed the 87kg gold with a 4-1 victory over Azad Salidinov, while Nitesh triumphed in the 97kg category by overcoming Nurassyl Amanaly with a score of 13-9. Sumit also contributed to India's medal haul, securing bronze in the 60kg category after defeating Sahil 5-0.
The Indian wrestling contingent's achievements reflect their robust preparation and competitiveness on the global stage. With the Women's Wrestling's remaining weight classes and the Men's Freestyle division soon commencing, expectations for further Indian success remain high.
