Spain emphasized their World Cup credentials with a decisive 3-1 victory over Peru in their final preparatory match. At the Estadio Cuauhtemoc in Mexico, Mikel Oyarzabal's early goal set the tone for Luis de la Fuente's side, who showed comprehensive control throughout the game.

Pedri doubled Spain's lead, synergizing with Ferran Torres, while Peru's fleeting threat went unfulfilled as they struggled to find the net before halftime. An unfortunate own goal from Peru's goalkeeper further widened the European team's lead.

Despite Jairo Velez's late strike for Peru, Spain's dominance remained unchallenged as they wrapped up their preparations ahead of their Group H encounter with Cape Verde. Meanwhile, France's Michael Olise dazzled with a hat-trick against Northern Ireland, and the Netherlands secured a hard-fought victory over Uzbekistan. The World Cup kicks off on June 11, hosted by Mexico, marking the start of the global footballing event.
