Ganguly, who is currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal, reported that the page's content is defamatory and harmful. He acknowledged the dual nature of public life, accepting criticism and opinion, but emphasized that misleading and damaging information cannot be tolerated and necessitates legal redress.

In his complaint, Ganguly further mentioned the media platform Sportzwiki, highlighting their involvement.
