Panthers, RB Artis-Payne agree on one-year deal

The Carolina Panthers and running back Cameron Artis-Payne agreed on a one-year deal to bring the 2015 draft pick back to Charlotte for the 2019 season. Artis-Payne played just 48 offensive snaps last season, rushing for 69 yards and a score in nine games. However, the Panthers have said they want to reduce the workload of star Christian McCaffrey, who played more than 91 percent of the snaps last season. The Panthers took Artis-Payne in the fifth round of the 2015 draft.
