The Minnesota Twins have postponed Friday night's game against the Detroit Tigers because of inclement weather in Minneapolis. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday, May 11, at Target Field.
Thunderstorms, hail, sleet, snow and wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph were reported in the area on Thursday. A winter storm warning was in effect through Friday morning. The Twins (6-4) and Tigers (8-5) are still scheduled to play Saturday afternoon.
