In an interview to a news agency RCB spinner and WC squad member, Yuzvendra Chahal said bowling in high-pressure scenarios in IPL would serve as a good practise for the smaller grounds in England for the World Cup. It remains to be seen if the English summer is a dry one and aids spin like it did in the 2013 Champions Trophy. If that is the case Chahal and Kuldeep could replicate what Ashwin and Jadeja did for the men in blue and the crown could come back home after 2011.
Yuzvendra Chahal has done a fine job for the Royal Challengers Bangalore being the leading wicket-taker for his side with 14 scalps in 10 games. Talking about RCB's culture and the grooming environment he said "It's like a family to me, when I came here in 2014 I never thought that I'll play for this franchise. I really enjoy when I come to Bengaluru and I only want to play for RCB in the IPL throughout my life," Chahal told the agency.
"When you play at Chinnaswamy Stadium, it is very loud and the crowd is always supporting you. But whenever I bowl I just try to focus on my game and my situation like where to bowl, so I am used to it now and it is nothing new for me," Chahal said.
Rangana Herath the legendary Sri Lankan spinner had recently heaped words of praise for India's premier spinners and said they could prove to be a trump card in the 50 over the tournament. Kuldeep and Chahal are the highest wickets taking pair after the 2017 CT final.
"The World Cup will be played all across England. In the later part, there will be some assistance for spinners as well. You can see some dry pitches as well. I am sure the spinners will get chance at one stage," Hearth had said.
Bangalore is currently placed at the last position in the league with six points and need to win all of the remaining to stake a claim for a playoff birth.
