Twitter was flooded with wishes as the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, turned 46 today. Tendulkar was born on 24th April 1973 in Mumbai, his father, Ramesh Tendulkar, was a well-known Marathi novelist & poet and his mother, Rajni, worked in the insurance industry.

Sachin Tendulkar made his Test debut on 15 November 1989 against Pakistan in Karachi when he was just 16 years old and there was no turning back after that. He is often lovingly referred to as 'God of Cricket', 'Little Master', 'Master Blaster'.

Tendulkar still has several unbeaten records under his name, he became the first batsman to complete 10,000 ODI runs in his 259 innings. Sachin Tendulkar also won Arjuna Award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan awards at various points during his career.

Even though he retired from cricket years ago, his fan base is still strong and that just became more evident as Twitteraties went gaga over his 46th birthday. Even some big names in cricket industry had their fanboy moment today.
