Royals-Rays game to be rescheduled due to heavy rains

Tuesday night's game between the Kansas City Royals and Tampa Bay Rays was postponed due to heavy rains expected in the Kansas City, Mo., area. The teams will make it up with a single-admission doubleheader Wednesday, with the first game starting at 1:15 p.m. ET and the second game starting 45 minutes after the conclusion of the opener.
Fans with tickets for Wednesday's regular scheduled game can attend both contests. Fans with tickets for Tuesday's postponed game will have to exchange them for another date on the 2019 calendar. Tampa Bay won Monday night's series opener 8-5, the Rays' fifth win in six games. The Royals have lost eight of their last 10.
The reigning American League Cy Young Award winner, Rays left-hander Blake Snell (2-2, 2.54 ERA), is scheduled to start the first game Wednesday against Royals right-hander Jakob Junis (2-2, 5.57 ).
