Blues agree to two-year deal with G Binnington

The Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues agreed to a two-year, $8.8 million deal with goaltender Jordan Binnington on Saturday. "His play was outstanding and we look forward to seeing him continue to be a major contributor for our team." Binnington, who turned 26 on Thursday, went 24-5-1 with a 1.89 GAA, .927 save percentage and five shutouts in 32 regular-season games (30 starts).

When Binnington replaced Jake Allen as the starting goaltender in January, the Blues began their turnaround and eventually defeated the Boston Bruins in seven games to claim the first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
