Steve Bruce resigns as SWFC manager - report

Steve Bruce has resigned from the post of manager of Sheffield Wednesday F.C. (SWFC), according to media reports. The assistants Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence are also reported to have resigned from their respective posts. It is being anticipated that Bruce is likely to join Newcastle United F.C. as the talks have been going on between the two.

The 58-year-old has previously worked in the north-east, as the manager of Sunderland. After being sacked from Aston Villa, Bruce took over at Sheffield Wednesday back in February.
