Google has extended its repair program for Pixel 4 XL by one year following complaints of battery drainage and other power-related issues.

Google has extended its repair program for Pixel 4 XL by one year following complaints of battery drainage and other power-related issues. The extended warranty program applies to Pixel 4 XL units bought in the US, Singapore, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan, for certain power-related issues.

The one-year warranty extension will cover the following issues (via Android Authority):

  • Not able to turn on the phone
  • The phone restarts or shuts down randomly without a manual restart or shutdown
  • Charging with an adapter
  • Wireless charging
  • The phone's battery draining significantly faster than earlier in its use

The Google Pixel 4 XLs is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It sports a 6.3-inch P-OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

In terms of optics, the device features a 12.2 MP main sensor and a 16MP telephoto lens with OIS and 2x optical zoom. For selfies, there is an 8MP snapper on the front.

Lastly, it is backed by a 3700mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
