China has always asked for its companies to cooperate with international rules and local news, the Chinese foreign ministry said on Wednesday, in response to a question regarding India's plans for new security testing of smartphones.
Under the new rule, smartphone makers are forced to allow removal of pre-installed apps and mandate screening of major operating system updates.
