Airtel rolls out 5G services in Kolkata

Bharti Airtel has rolled out its cutting-edge 5G services in Kolkata. With this launch, the Airtel 5G Plus is now live in 26 cities of West Bengal including Haldia, Ranaghat, Contai, Krishnanagar, Puruliya, Bongaon, Bankura, Raniganj and Kolaghat.

Airtel customers in these cities can now experience ultrafast, reliable and secure 5G Plus services without having to worry about data exhaustion as the company removes the capping on data usage across all existing plans.

The services will be available to customers in a phased manner, the telco said, adding that the company will augment its network making its services available to cities across the entire state in due course.

Airtel 5G Plus promises to offer massive speeds - about 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds - the best voice experience and will work on all 5G smartphones while being kinder to the environment.
