Google is rolling out several improvements to its Drive app for Android tablets. The enhancements include relocating the navigation bar to the side to provide more accessible navigation, optimizing the visual components to better utilize the larger screen, and making it easier to access file details for a selected file.

The side-mounted navigation bar now features a create button (+) in addition to the usual options to switch between Home, Starred, files shared (Shared), and all files (Files). The search bar at the top now occupies less space and the Profile, help and Settings button have moved to the top right corner.

The enhancements are rolling out to Rapid Release domains and will take no more than 15 days to be fully visible. The redesign will start rolling out to Scheduled Release domains on April 3, 2023

Overall, these modernizations will significantly enhance the user experience on Google Drive for tablet displays by making it more user-friendly, visually appealing, and easier to navigate.
