Airtel Cloud to power Government of India’s edtech platform DIKSHA

Bharti Airtel has secured the Cloud and Content Delivery Network (CDN) mandate from the Digital India Corporation (DIC) to power DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing), the national platform for open education digital content.

Launched in 2017 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, DIKSHA aims to provide high-quality e-content, including e-textbooks and audiobooks, free of cost to teachers and learners across the nation. Currently, the platform offers more than 5700 crore minutes of learning and has witnessed an impressive enrolment and course completion rate of 82% across its 7200 courses.

Airtel will serve as the trusted partner for the end-to-end management of DIKSHA's online platforms, including its mobile application and website. Powered by Airtel Cloud, DIKSHA will be seamlessly accessible to students across the country, offering them free educational content in their preferred native language. This development is particularly crucial for students in remote and far-flung areas who will now be able to easily enroll and benefit from the platform's resources.

In addition, Airtel Cloud will spearhead the migration of DIKSHA to Oracle Cloud and provide managed services along with CDN solutions.
