Android 14 is finally here: Here's what's new
Google today launched the Pixel 8 series and Android 14, the latest iteration of its operation system for Android devices. Packed with more customization, control and accessibility features, the OS is rolling out to supported Pixel devices starting today and will expand to other devices from Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus and other companies later this year.
Android 14 comes with a bunch of new features.
To begin with, the whole new customization picker in Android 14 makes it easier to switch between wallpapers and update what you want to see at a glance. Google is also introducing generative AI wallpapers that use AI-generated text-to-image diffusion models to help you create unique wallpapers for your phone. This feature is coming first to Pixel devices.
With this update, you will find Health Connect in your Settings, allowing you to connect your favourite health and fitness apps, see your health and fitness data in one place and stay in control of your privacy
Further, Android 14 comes with many vision-and hearing-inclusive features including a more intuitive magnifier. You can pinch to zoom in and out from 100%. In addition, you can change the font size of the text on your device with a tap in Quick Settings.
Other features include automatic framing in video calls, one-tap access to your Google Home controls, and performance improvements, among others.
