OnePlus Nord 3 receiving January 2024 security patch

OnePlus is rolling out the OxygenOS 14.0.0.300 update to the OnePlus Nord 3 in India, Europe and the Global ( IN/GLO/EU) region. This build incorporates the January 2024 Android security patch and a couple of enhancements and bug fixes.

The OxygenOS 14.0.0.300 update brings battery life improvements and resolves an issue where the screen might turn white when "Theme Store" is opened.

• Integrates the January 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.
• Improves system stability and performance.
• Extends battery life in some scenarios.
• The Background stream feature in the Smart Sidebar has been removed.

Sharing the update changelog, OnePlus also noted that this new version has solved some issues on OxygenOS 14.0.0.201 and the 14.0.0.201 version won't be pushed to more users.

As always, the update is rolling out in a staged manner and will reach a limited number of users today. This will be followed by a broader rollout in a few days.

OnePlus Nord 3: Specifications

The OnePlus Nord 3 comes with a 6.74-inch 120Hz Super Fluid AMOLED display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. The processor is paired with 8GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB/256 GB storage.

The handset is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging technology, allowing for quick charging and minimizing downtime.

In terms of optics, the OnePlus Nord 3 features a triple-camera setup on the rear, with the primary 50MP camera using the Sony IMX890 sensor. The second camera is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro lens is available for close-up shots. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
