New One UI 6.1 update brings Samsung's Galaxy AI features to more devices
Samsung is expanding its Galaxy AI features to more Galaxy devices through a new One UI 6.1 update, which will begin rolling out at the end of March. The update will be available across the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Tab S9 series.
With this update, AI-supported Galaxy models will get communication-enhancing Galaxy AI features, including the ability to adjust message tone and translate messages in 13 different languages using Chat Assist.
The Live Translate feature provides voice and text translations for phone calls. With Interpreter, Galaxy users can engage in spontaneous conversations with locals while travelling as the split-screen feature generates text translations for live conversations.
Next up, for enhanced productivity search functions have been improved through Circle to Search with Google, a new feature that generates intuitive search results with a swift circle-motioned gesture.
- Note Assist allows users to create formats, generate summaries and translate notes
- Browsing Assist enables individuals to stay up to speed faster by generating comprehensive summaries of news articles.
- Transcript Assist can also easily transcribe meeting recordings and generate summaries and translations.
Furthermore, the new One UI 6.1 update delivers a suite of Galaxy AI tools to boost creativity and personalization. Using Generative Edit, AI-supported Galaxy devices can easily resize, reposition or realign objects in photos to perfect a great shot. Users can also polish any photo faster and easier than ever with Edit Suggestion. Additionally, with Instant Slow-mo, you can generate additional frames for slow-motion videos to capture action-packed moments.
