South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol emphasized the need for global efforts to ensure AI technology is safe and upholds democracy and social well-being. He made this statement at a global AI summit, co-hosted with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said on Tuesday global efforts shepherding the emerging technology of artificial intelligence (AI) must ensure it is safe and does no harm to the ideals of democracy or global social well-being.

Yoon was speaking at a global summit on artificial intelligence, jointly hosted by the South Korean leader and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
