Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd Posts 18.1% Decline in Q1 Net Profit

Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd, a key provider of cable and internet services, has announced an 18.1% decrease in its consolidated net profit for the June quarter, reporting Rs 18.32 crore. This marks a drop from last year's Rs 22.36 crore for the same period, as per the company's regulatory filing.
The company, which is part of the Reliance Industries Group, saw its total revenue remain relatively flat, recording Rs 502.61 crore compared to Rs 499.23 crore in the year-ago quarter. Specifically, revenue from the Cable TV business was Rs 336.14 crore, while broadband services brought in Rs 151.19 crore for Q1 of FY25.
Additionally, Hathway Cable's total income, which includes other income, declined by 1.69% to Rs 524.36 crore. On the expense front, the company's total expenditure was lowered by 2% to Rs 503.14 crore.
