Infosys Sees Profit Surge, Plans Major Hiring Spree
Infosys reported a 7% rise in consolidated net profit for the April-June quarter, with plans to hire 15,000-20,000 freshers based on growth projections. The IT giant's revenue increased by 3.6% year-on-year, leading to raised growth guidance for the current fiscal year.
IT major Infosys on Thursday reported a significant 7 per cent rise in consolidated net profit, amounting to Rs 6,368 crore for the April-June quarter, while also raising its growth outlook for the financial year. This marks an improvement in the IT sector's performance.
With the business landscape looking promising, Infosys disclosed plans to recruit 15,000-20,000 fresh graduates, contingent on growth during the year. Despite a drop in headcount since March 2023, the company remains optimistic about future recruitment.
CEO Salil Parekh commented, 'We had an excellent start to FY25 with impressive and broad-based growth, operating margin expansion, substantial large deals, and the highest ever cash generation, showcasing our differentiated service offerings and client trust'.
