Ex-CSIS Chief David Vigneault Joins Strider Technologies

David Vigneault, the former chief of Canada's Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), has joined U.S. security firm Strider Technologies as the managing director of its global intelligence unit. The announcement follows Vigneault's departure from CSIS in July, where he served for seven years.

Vigneault retired amid scrutiny over CSIS's handling of foreign interference, particularly allegations involving China. Despite leaving public service, Vigneault emphasized his commitment to combating international threats. At Strider, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Vigneault will oversee engagements with private and public sector organizations and drive research and development initiatives.

During his time at CSIS, Vigneault played a key role in tracking and countering alleged foreign interference in Canadian politics. He also represented Canada in the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance. Strider's CEO, Greg Levesque, praised Vigneault's extensive experience, calling it invaluable for the company's mission.
