Switzerland Strengthens Cyber Defenses by Joining ECSO

Switzerland has joined the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) to enhance its defenses against cyberattacks and online threats. The membership provides access to the latest technology developments and a network of experts. This move follows an increase in cyberattacks and disinformation ahead of a peace summit in Ukraine.

Switzerland will join the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) to bolster the neutral country's defenses against hackers and online attacks, the government announced on Wednesday. The membership will equip Switzerland with information on current technology decisions and developments, in addition to providing access to a network of experts, Bern said in a statement.

ECSO comprises 300 members, including large and small companies, universities, research centers, and European governments. Earlier this year, Switzerland saw an uptick in cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns leading up to a summit aimed at creating a pathway for peace in Ukraine.
