L&T Semiconductor Taps Government Partnership for Local Chip Innovation

L&T Semiconductor Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing to jointly develop local chip technology. This collaboration aims to foster innovation and economic growth by pursuing research, development, and training initiatives, particularly focusing on Make-in-India Integrated Circuit and System-on-Chip solutions.

L&T Semiconductor Technologies has partnered with the government-backed Centre for Development of Advanced Computing to develop local chip technology, the company announced on Wednesday.

The memorandum of understanding focuses on collaborative research, development, and training, emphasizing Make-in-India solutions for automotive, industrial, and energy applications.

Ministry of Electronics and IT Group Coordinator Sunit Verma stated that the MoU showcases the government’s dedication to public-private partnerships that foster innovation. The collaboration aims to make India a leader in the semiconductor sector, with L&T Semiconductor Technologies harnessing C-DAC’s IPs to create global product opportunities.
