The center aims to innovate and equip future professionals in the growing cybersecurity field.

The foundation stone for 'Cyber Nalanda', a state-of-the-art cybersecurity research and development center, was laid in Bengaluru by SISA, a global cybersecurity solutions firm, with ISRO Chairman S Somanath emphasizing the need for advanced security ecosystems amid growing cyber threats.
Somanath remarked on the evolution of cybersecurity from simple anti-virus solutions to the current need for national security mechanisms, pointing out the vulnerabilities of major ISRO missions like Chandrayaan to cyber attacks due to their global command systems.
According to SISA CEO Dharshan Shanthamurthy, Cyber Nalanda aims to be a global hub for cybersecurity innovation, dedicating 10% of their annual revenue to R&D and offering accredited certification programs to address the global shortage of cybersecurity professionals.
