CIA Expands Recruitment Drive to China, Iran, and North Korea
The CIA has launched a new campaign to recruit informants in China, Iran, and North Korea, following successful efforts in Russia. Instructions in Mandarin, Farsi, and Korean on securely contacting the agency have been posted on various social media platforms. The initiative aims to counter increased state repression and global surveillance.
The U.S. CIA on Wednesday unveiled a bold initiative to recruit informants in China, Iran, and North Korea. This move is an extension of its previously successful efforts to enlist Russians.
Instructions in Mandarin, Farsi, and Korean on how to contact the CIA securely appeared on the agency's X, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, LinkedIn, and Dark Web accounts, a CIA spokesperson revealed.
'Our efforts in Russia have been fruitful, and now we are targeting other authoritarian regimes,' the spokesperson stated, underlining the CIA's response to heightened state repression and worldwide surveillance.
