Historic Handover: P-7 Parachute System Finds New Keeper
The Authority Holding Sealed Particulars (AHSP) for the P-7 Parachute System has been transferred to the Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Developed by the Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment, this system safely airdrops loads up to 9.5 tonnes.

The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) has received the Authority Holding Sealed Particulars (AHSP) of the P-7 Parachute System from a prominent DRDO laboratory, according to the defence ministry's announcement on Tuesday.
The AHSP, which oversees the entire history and technical data of defence products, was transferred by the Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE) in Agra to DGQA leadership.
This handover was officiated by Samir V Kamat, Secretary of Defence Research and Development and DRDO Chairman, during a ceremony at the DRDO Bhawan. The P-7 system, designed to deploy loads weighing up to 9.5 tonnes from heights of up to 4 km, is part of a larger contract to supply the Indian Army with advanced air-dropping capabilities.
