IBS Software, a leader in SaaS solutions for the travel industry, is setting its sights on expanding opportunities in India's airline industry, including loyalty programs, in what is a 'price-sensitive' market. According to Founder and Executive Chairman V K Mathews, the Indian market offers substantial growth potential.

The Singapore-based company, with a workforce of 5,000, has a diverse clientele including Emirates and British Airways. In India, it has begun implementing solutions for air cargo operations and staff travel management for Air India and is considering partnerships with airlines such as IndiGo and Akasa Air.

Mathews notes that IT is currently perceived as a cost in India but anticipates a shift towards value perception as the economy develops. Despite challenges in India and China, he remains optimistic about growth in the Indian market, boosted by trends in best-in-class technology systems and enhanced customer relationships.
