Pioneering Paperless Future: Territorial Assembly Goes Digital

The territorial Assembly has embraced a digital revolution, conducting its first paperless meeting. With the implementation of the Nationale-vidhan app, the initiative was funded by the Union Parliamentary Affairs Ministry, equipping members with tablets. This move aims to transform India into a digitally equipped society.

The territorial Assembly has taken a significant step towards modernization by holding its inaugural paperless session. The meeting, which featured an address by the Lieutenant Governor K Kailshnathan, marked a new era in the Assembly's operations.

This digital transformation comes with the installation of the Nationale-vidhan application, a national project endorsed by the Centre to enhance India's digital capabilities. Official sources confirmed that the initiative received financial backing from the Union Parliamentary Affairs Ministry, amounting to Rs 8.16 crore.

Equipped with tablets installed on their desks, all Assembly members, including the Speaker and chief minister, experienced a new way of participating in the session. Legislators reported a thrilling transition to this digital format, and extensive training was provided to ensure a smooth adaptation to the new system.
