Downdetector highlighted India as a critical area affected, with peak interruptions at 3:30 pm and later again around 7:30 pm, totaling thousands of reports.

Musk attributed the disruptions to what he described as a massive cyberattack, speculating involvement from a large, coordinated group or a nation-state.
