Reliance Jio emerged on top, achieving a median download speed of 201.87 Mbps, as per a recent Ookla report. Competing closely, Airtel recorded 165.23 Mbps, pushing infrastructure boundaries to ensure robust network services.
Despite the immense pressure of serving mobile connectivity to over 660 million attendees, telecom providers maintained impressive network performance. Jio's advanced 5G Standalone network managed millions of calls and data requests, while Airtel bolstered its framework by adding new sites and optimizing existing infrastructure.
The collaborative efforts, including strategic partnerships with telecom gear makers like Ericsson and HFCL, led to significant tower deployments and enhancements in Prayagraj. Though 5G speeds fluctuated during peak usage, strategic upgrades ensured a swift recovery, reflecting India's growing telecom prowess.
