AWS Marketplace: The UPI Moment for Enterprise Software in India

Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced its plans to launch the AWS Marketplace in India, set to debut later this year. The platform is designed to help businesses discover and transact software solutions efficiently.
In a keynote speech, Sandeep Dutta, President of AWS India and South Asia, described the launch as a 'UPI moment' for enterprise software procurement. He highlighted that the marketplace will feature India-specific functions.
Allowing transactions in Indian rupees, the marketplace offers multiple payment options, including net banking, credit cards, and UPI. AWS has pledged to invest USD 16.4 billion in India by 2030 to accelerate digital transformation and economic growth.
