GalaxEye's Revolutionary Leap: A Second Satellite for Sharper Space Imagery
GalaxEye, a Bengaluru-based start-up, is developing its second satellite, 'Drishti', featuring 0.5-meter resolution. Expected to launch by 2026-2027, it aims to deliver enhanced imagery for defense and intelligence. With reduced revisit time and all-weather capabilities, it targets sectors like disaster response and urban security.

Space start-up GalaxEye announced it is advancing efforts to construct its second satellite, engineered to provide 0.5-meter resolution images of Earth. The satellite, named 'Drishti', will offer sharper visuals with quicker revisit times.
Developed entirely in-house, the satellite uses Syncfusion SAR-Optical imaging technology. This development is set to provide richer data critical for defense, security, and national intelligence sectors, according to a statement released by GalaxEye.
Located in Bengaluru, the start-up is preparing for the launch of its inaugural satellite 'Mission Drishti' with a 1.25-meter resolution later this year, as well as targeting 2026-2027 for the second satellite's launch. Not only will this satellite improve spatial resolution, but it will also cut down its revisit time to less than three days, widening its application scope to disaster response, urban security, maritime awareness, and risk intelligence.
