The India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) and the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) have announced a groundbreaking strategic collaboration designed to fast-track India's involvement in the global semiconductor value chain. The joint announcement was made at a press conference, coinciding with the India Semiconductor Leadership Roundtable.

ICEA Chairman Pankaj Mohindroo emphasized that India is at a critical juncture in its semiconductor journey, citing the importance of policy frameworks and global partnerships in building a self-sustaining ecosystem. "Our partnership with GSA is pivotal in positioning India as a crucial node in global semiconductor value chains," Mohindroo stated.

As part of the collaboration, ICEA and GSA will host the India Semiconductor Leadership Summit in 2026, gathering global industry leaders to explore India's burgeoning semiconductor landscape. GSA CEO Jodi Shelton highlighted the shared commitment to enhancing India's role in global design and manufacturing. The government has also sanctioned significant investments under the India Semiconductor Mission to boost the sector.
