Truecaller has launched an innovative AI-powered voicemail service for Android users in India, marking a significant upgrade in communication technology. This free feature, equipped with instant transcription and automatic spam protection, allows users to store messages directly on their devices, enhancing privacy and control over their communications.

The service offers smart call categorization and spam filtering, alongside adjustable playback speed and transcription in 12 Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil. Users can set up unlimited voicemail within seconds in the Truecaller app, integrating voicemail as a core part of their communication routine.

'Traditional voicemail was built for a very different era,' said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Truecaller. 'With Truecaller Voicemail, we're reimagining voice messages to be device-native and seamlessly integrated,' he added, emphasizing its focus on overcoming legacy system limitations and fostering deeper personalization.
