X Faces Global Outage: Twitter Users Impacted Worldwide
X, previously known as Twitter, experienced a significant global outage, with thousands facing connectivity issues on Friday. Reports surged as users highlighted their dependence on the platform. Downdetector noted most problems stemmed from the app, with server connections and website access also affected.

On Friday, X, the platform formerly recognized as Twitter, encountered a sweeping global outage, leaving thousands of users disconnected. The social media network, under the ownership of Elon Musk, saw a surge of complaints worldwide as users expressed their dependency on the service.
According to Downdetector, a service that tracks internet outages, approximately 200,000 users reported troubles with X as of 10:52 a.m. ET. The majority of issues (56%) were linked to the X app, with additional problems reported concerning its website (33%) and server connection (10%).
The outage, which commenced around 10:10 a.m. ET, seemed to resolve briefly before error messages resurfaced at 10:41 a.m. This incident echoes similar disruptions experienced by the platform in November, where numerous users encountered server error messages.
