The India-France Business Dialogue in London has set the stage for the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi next week, marking the first international AI gathering of its kind in the Global South to focus on people, planet, and progress. The dialogue, held at the High Commission of India in London, showcased the strong tech cooperation between India and France, in the wake of last month's EU Free Trade Agreement.
Vikram Doraiswami, India's High Commissioner to the UK, emphasized the summit's focus on making AI relevant and inclusive. Renowned figures like Dr. Pushmeet Kohli from Google Deep Mind, along with panelists from Infosys and Credit Agricole, elaborated on AI's potential as a growth catalyst. This collaboration resonates with France’s extensive involvement in global AI dialogues, from Paris to New Delhi.
The event also highlighted India's evolving AI narrative, with Indian companies now leading globally competitive AI solutions. The dialogue pointed to the strategic India-UK partnership, emphasizing climate-aligned AI deployment. British delegates, including Minister Kanishka Narayan, are set to attend the Delhi summit, underscoring AI's role in sustainable economic development.
