The Department of Posts has unveiled three new premium services designed to expedite deliveries for urgent parcels across six major Indian cities, including Delhi and Mumbai. Spearheaded by Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, the initiative promises delivery guarantees within 24 to 48 hours.
With expectations of accelerating the e-commerce landscape, projected to grow threefold by 2030, the services introduce features such as OTP-verified deliveries and real-time tracking. The integration with advanced technology aims to cater to the increasing demand for speedy logistics while adhering to strict timelines.
Additional business-oriented facilities include 'Book Now, Pay Later', centralised billing, and more, coupled with the assurance of a money-back guarantee if delivery standards are not met. This marks a pivotal moment of transformation and opportunity for India Post in the competitive parcel delivery market.
