In an unexpected turn of events, a prototype unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) from LAT Aerospace crashed during a test flight near Nandpur village. The incident, which unfolded on Friday evening, occurred after a mechanical issue caused the UAV to veer out of control before hitting the ground.
LAT Aerospace had previously secured the necessary permissions from the Civil Aviation Department to test their UAV prototype from the Safai airstrip. Despite the crash, authorities confirmed that no one was injured, and there was no damage to nearby crops.
The company quickly took responsibility, posting on X about the incident, which they claimed was exacerbated by strong winds. They have also reached out to compensate the farmer whose land was affected by the crash.
