Karnataka is pioneering a new phase of global collaboration with the launch of GIA 2.0 at the 'Bridge to Bengaluru-Dialogue with Diplomats' event in New Delhi this April. This evolved framework is designed to deepen sectoral partnerships and expand global market access for Karnataka-based startups and companies.
The initiative, known as the Global Innovation Alliance, has already established partnerships with over 40 countries and supported more than 2,000 startups. It has facilitated over 60 global Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and collaborations, setting a benchmark in global technology collaboration.
According to Karnataka Minister for Electronics, IT and Biotechnology, Priyank Kharge, GIA is not just about dialogue but delivering results. It aims to fortify Karnataka's innovation value chain, integrating government collaboration, global market access, and institution-level research, thus positioning the state as a gateway to global innovation ecosystems.
