Drone City Haryana Set to Spur Innovation in Hisar

AVPL International will inaugurate its Drone City project in Haryana on May 16, aiming to establish a drone manufacturing hub. The initiative, supported by state incentives, seeks to generate employment and foster drone-related innovation, particularly training Scheduled Caste youth to become drone entrepreneurs.

Drone City Haryana Set to Spur Innovation in Hisar

AVPL International is poised to inaugurate the first phase of its ambitious Rs 80 crore Drone City Haryana project. Based in Gurugram, the project will be launched at Sisai village in Hisar district on May 16, with the backing of Rs 58.51 crore in incentives as part of the 2020 Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy.

The initiative is a significant step toward creating an integrated ecosystem for drone manufacturing, research, testing, and training. Dignitaries including Haryana Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi and former finance minister Captain Abhimanyu will attend the inauguration. The project promises to offer over 800 employment opportunities for youth in drone manufacturing and related fields.

In a special effort to encourage entrepreneurship among Scheduled Caste youth, the '500 Drone Udhami Scheme' will be implemented alongside the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation. With 23 industrial sheds over 11.5 acres, Drone City will support various drone operations, from agriculture to surveillance, fostering a hub of innovation and training.
