Mi Band 4 India launch delay: Should you go with other fitness bands or wait?

Mi Band 4 has been launched in various markets across the world but Xiaomi is yet to give a word about its launch in the huge and important Indian market. Earlier generations of the fitness bands by the Chinese tech giant have been a massive success with sales running in millions of units and loyal fans are keenly awaiting for the launch of the fourth generation of Mi Band in India.

But the company doesn't seem to be in a hurry to launch the product as Xiaomi India has not made any announcement regarding Mi Band 4. Meanwhile, Honor has unveiled their Band 5 which is an attractive alternative to Mi Band 4. Both the bands offer color AMOLED displays but Honor's USP is the blood oxygen detection and improved tracking features.

Honor Band 5 might look more appealing to many due to its sleek design but Mi Band 4 comes with easily changeable band straps and also offers a slightly bigger battery at a cheaper expected price.

Honor's fitness band is the biggest competition for Mi Band 4 even in the international markets and Xiaomi would not want to compromise much of their sales now that Band 5 has stepped foot into India. If you are looking for a Raksha Bandhan gift then Honor Band 5 will be a logical choice but if you can wait then Xiaomi's launch might come within this month itself.

There are other competitors to Mi Band 4 as well in the Indian market. Samsung's Fit E band at Rs 2,490 is appealing to many users who prefer the "brand" while Xiaomi's own Mi Band 3 still makes a lot of sense at just Rs 1,999.
