Ministry of Railways plans to use artificial intelligence in railways in order to prevent signal failure, the signal failure is important for safe operations of the train which totally depends upon real-time information.

Till date, railway is following a manual maintenance system and is making plans to adopt AI in the current system.

AI can help railways to counter operation failures as AI collects the input on a predetermined interval and sends it to the central location which will detect any problem in the signaling system.
According to Your Story, Britain is currently using remote monitoring of signaling, which envisages data transfer using wireless medium.
