Star India to donate Rs two crore to CMDRF

Broadcasting major Star India today said it would donate Rs two crore to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund as its contribution towards relief and rehabilitation in the rain-ravaged state.

For the supply of essentials to the flood victims, Star India has partnered with Non-Governmental Organisation 'Goonj', it said. The broadcaster would also air campaigns across its 50 channels, urging viewers to contribute for Kerala.

"In an endeavor to support the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in Kerala, we are mobilizing funds and creating public awareness through the reach of our network", Star India, Chairman, and CEO, Uday Shankar said.
